The Little Learners Montessori Nursery located in Watford offers high-quality Montessori education for children aged 6 months – 5 years old.

Opening Schedule

  • Days Open: Monday – Friday
  • Hours Open: 8am – 6pm
  • Weeks Open: 50 weeks a year
  • Closure Period: Last 2 weeks of August, as well as bank and public holidays

  • A minimum of 3 Full Days or 5 Half Days are required. Sessions are based on availability and will need to be booked and paid for in advance.

Payment

Monthly fees for September-July are charged at a set monthly rate, calculated at 48 weeks x number of sessions per week divided by 11 months. August fees are calculated using a daily rate based on the number of days attended in the month.

Payment for the month’s fees is due on the first of the month. You are required to have a direct debit setup with us as part of our terms and conditions.

Most childcare vouchers can be used at The Little Learners. We are registered to receive tax-free childcare payments. We are also registered with certain benefit schemes, such as Enjoy Benefits. For more information on payment methods, please contact accounts@thelittlelearners.co.uk.

Upon registration you will be required to pay a £100 non-refundable registration fee, and a £200 refundable deposit.

Funding

The term after your child turns 9 months old, you may be entitled to 15 hours funding per week. We ‘stretch’ this funding so it works out as 11.40 hours per week (570 annual hours) divided by 50 weeks the nursery is open per year).

The term after your child’s 3rd birthday, you will be entitled to 15 hours funding per week. We ‘stretch’ this funding so it works out as 11.40 hours per week (570 annual hours divided by 50 weeks the nursery is open per year).
If you are entitled to 30 hours funding, then you will receive 22.80 hours of funding per week (1,140annual hours divided by 50 weeks the nursery is open per year).

Funding Expansion

The Government is vastly expanding childcare support over the next 12 months. In addition to the recently introduced funding for children aged 9 months to 2 years old, from September 2025 working parents with a child from 9 months up to the school age may be eligible for 30 hours funding.
