About The Little Learners Montessori

Teresa established The Little Learners Montessori in 1993 to fulfil her passion and interest in Montessori education and care.

“The Little Learners strive in creating a safe, secure and stimulating environment in which each child has the opportunity to develop to their full potential”.

At the Little Learners we offer Montessori education from 6 months up to the age of 5 years. We are proud and believe fully in the ethos of Montessori education; it offers an exceptional level of care and respect for young children; and promotes independence for the child throughout their early years.

We understand that making the right choice for your child is paramount. Regular inspections are carried out by various governing bodies, including Ofsted, to ensure the environment is safe and stimulating for your child. Our staff are experts in providing professionally planned lessons that are aimed at developing your child in all areas of their education. This prepares your child seamlessly for the transition into School life.

Our Staff

The Little Learners Montessori is a family run business with a dedicated team of highly trained Montessori staff and qualified childcare specialists who concentrate on delivering the highest quality care for your child. We work with parents on a regular basis to make sure that their child is receiving the highest quality care and education.

The Directors are committed to excellence in Early Years; Jenna worked as a freelance Early Years Associate Inspector for Ofsted and holds a PGCE in Early Years Professional Status (level 7), she is also trained as a Safeguarding trainer; whilst James holds a PGCE in Early Years Professional Status (level 7).

All staff members are required to undergo the Enhanced Criminal Records Check Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and several references requested. In house we offer training in Montessori Education, First Aid and Safeguarding; staff take part in regular supervisions to identify their training and development needs. Your child will be appointed a key person to look after their individual needs and he/she will be responsible for your child’s development. Parent meetings are scheduled each term and parent partnership events are encouraged: concerts, coffee mornings, cultural days and other events.

Training

Our Nursery has a team of highly qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about providing the best possible education to children. Our teachers are trained in the Montessori method of teaching and are committed to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for every child.

We take the time and effort to support all our staff to continue their professional development throughout their careers. We provide in-house training and encourage all our staff to work towards higher qualifications. Our partner company The Montessori Apprentice Academy ensures all continued professional needs are met.
